Komorní Lhotka lies in the foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, about 10 km west of Třinec and 13 km east of Frýdek-Místek. Part of the village is a rural heritage zone. The village has had a multi-purpose sports hall since 2005.

The Evangelical church dates from 1783, and the Roman Catholic Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus from 1886. G. Masaryk Primary School and Komorní Lhotka Nursery School. The SAREPTA Komorní Lhotka senior home of Slezské diakonie reopened after renovation in February 2026.
