Lískovec has been a suburban district of Frýdek-Místek since 1979. It was first mentioned in writing in 1450. In 2021, it had 1,544 residents.

St Simon and Jude's Church is a late Baroque building dating from 1790–1791, with a neo-Gothic tower. The pilgrimage site of Hájek consists of a well and a chapel dating from 1796. Lískovec u Frýdku railway station, on the Ostrava–Valašské Meziříčí line, opened in 1871.
